SCAD seeks a Research and Instruction Librarian for its Savannah location to directly support the academic and creative needs of talented students.
In this position, you will provide innovative library instruction and research services to groups and individuals, form beneficial partnerships across the SCAD community in order to promote library resources, and help to develop library collections.
The ideal candidate has the ability to plan and provide library instruction that incorporates information literacy standards and current teaching practices as well as current knowledge in the library field to address general and subject-specific information resources and effective search strategies. The candidate must be up-to-date and knowledgeable about emerging technologies that support reference and instructional services. The candidate should also have significant research experience in one or more subjects offered at SCAD as well as superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Prior experience working collaboratively with faculty, students, and staff in an academic library environment is preferred.
