Full Job Description
Perioperative Services strives to be the safest perioperative environment in the world, to have the highest quality of perioperative outcomes, and to demonstrate the core values in our vision. Partnered with Anesthesiology and Critical Care, the Division of Nursing and the Division of Surgery, this multidisciplinary team performs more than 15,000 surgical cases each year in more than 30 operating rooms spanning the Main Building and Mays Clinic.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of Supply Chain experience. Location: Outpatient or Main Operating Room. Shift: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Key Functions
Respond to individual supply requests:
Within 3 minutes, in a courteous and professional manner
Put away incoming ACB case cart supplies in the proper bin location.
Replenish ACB rooms, Center Core, carts and Cysto rooms with 99.5% accuracy:
Review outages on a daily basis;
Remove any additional items not on the par form;
Write up an order request
Fax request to Main OR; and
Restock with a 99.5 accuracy
Put away unused supplies:
Provide to Lauren Smoke daily a list of supplies returned from ACB; and
Return unused supplies to the Main OR once the ACB par levels are reached;
Update and Maintain all database files for the ACB Center Core, rooms, carts and Cysto rooms:
Maintain accurate bin labels
On a monthly basis, review all items located at the ACB for expiration dates – Center Core, rooms, carts and Cysto room::
Pull expired product; and
Log in the Expiration Book
Identify and report any inventory problems or discrepancies.
Available for call after hours and weekends.
Process returned supplies, placing then into the proper bin location.
Bi monthly verifies assigned product expirations and documenting in expiration log book.
Assist with annual supply inventory preparation and physical count.
Participate in staff meetings and in-services.
Provide additional coverage for other shifts as required.
Break down and dispose of boxes and trash properly.
Participate in continuing education.
Answer the telephone in a professional manner.

Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Required: Two years relevant work experience.
