Description:Pay:$22 an hour
Shift: Monday - Friday 1st shift
Position Summary:
As a Material Hander you will be responsible for processing, handling, auditing general inventory, client-owned inventory, custom kitting & assembly, shipping and/or receipts of inventory in compliance with all Distribution procedures and Javelin’s standards. You will also move products in the warehouses, either manually or using equipment such as pallet jacks’ or forklifts. Your responsibilities may include pulling inventory and moving stock and other materials to fulfill orders and unloading material deliveries by pulling them off trucks and storing them in their rightful place in the warehouse.
Essential Functions:
- Organizes and maintains warehouse and inventory for efficient material storage and handling
- Manually stocks inventory shelving with stock items received or returned.
- Maintain daily checklist of lift equipment
- Preparing materials for shipment and providing documents
- Sealing and labeling envelopes and/or boxes
- Pulling materials, packing orders, Building Boxes and Palletizing order
- Loading and unloading trucks with the use of a forklift or a pallet jack
- Utilizes computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks
- Maintain general housekeeping
- Responsible for making sure all warehouse doors, gates and docks are secured at the end of the day
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:*
- 1 year of forklift experience.
- Worked in a warehouse environment for at least 2 years.
- Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 45 pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves items up to 100 pounds.
- Considerable knowledge of equipment safe operating principles and procedures.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to understand mathematical conversions.
- Good organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
