Risk is the independent risk oversight function of DWS. Model Risk is part of the Risk functions and designed to provide governance and control to manage a variety of models used in the firm and associated risks. The Model Risk team works as a global organization with team members in New York, London and Frankfurt.

The model validator role resides within the firm’s model risk management function. The model validator validates, tests, documents and oversees the usage of models related to asset management, risk management, and capital planning and effectively communicates the results to stakeholders within the firm.

Your Role /What You’ll Do

Conduct model validations on the firm’s models, both in-house and vendor models, based on regulatory guidance, internal policy and procedures and best industry practice, communicate findings and recommendations to model owners and prepare the model validation reports
Review ongoing model monitoring reports, identify potential model risk and document the findings
Assist in model validation findings monitoring, reporting and evaluation of the corrective actions
Assist in building benchmark models used in model validation team
Skills You’ll Need

Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a graduate degree in a highly quantitative field such Physics, mathematics, statistics, Economics or engineering
Relevant professional experience in model validation or model development in banking industry or consulting
Programming skills: R, SQL, C++, SAS, Python, Matlab
Deep understanding of valuation methods, capital markets, and risk management familiar with regulatory standards( SR 11-7 or SR 15-18)
