The Operations Analyst is responsible for analyzing the performance of the Denver operations team in order to share results in a usable, timely and accurate format; formulating and improving operating best practices; and leveraging this expertise across other Haynes locations.
Required Experience:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job description gives an overview of the overall essential functions, competencies, skills, and abilities for the Operations Analyst role. Other duties may be assigned.
Job Knowledge and Technical Skills:
o Compile and analyze financial performance data for the operations team (agreements, projects, time and material, etc.)
o Compile and analyze operational efficiency data for the operations team (technician utilization, callback/warranty work, etc.)
o Assemble and summarize estimated versus actual costs in various lines of business in order to identify trends and make recommendations to management based on data analysis
o Work with operations team to recognize underperforming agreements, identify the root cause, and create improvement plans
o Consult with the Contract Administration department regarding renewals; specifically, provide data to support contract escalations, spend plan changes, or scope adjustments as needed
o Report key performance indicators (KPIs) to operational leaders; identify and validate new KPIs as the business evolves
o Conduct data analysis in order to establish performance baselines and develop/improve operational forecasting
o Establish and/or enforce operational best practices across business units in order to provide a consistent, quality client experience
o Coordinate with Contract Administration Supervisor regarding predictive maintenance scope (oil, vibration and eddy analysis), the use of subcontractors, database accuracy, spend plan changes, etc.
o Maximize use of existing analytical tools and make recommendations regarding additional tools, as needed
o Participate in annual financial planning
o Track and forecast operational expenditures
o Maintain historical database by entering, verifying, and backing up data

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Management Science, or a related field; or 5+ years of equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability and strategic thinking
- Expert-level analytical and financial modeling skills
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office suite; including advanced Excel skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy of data
- Sound judgment and problem solving skills
- Strong customer service focus, both internal and external
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/Key2Act preferred
