MSM Security Services is seeking individuals to conduct background investigations in support of U.S Federal Agencies.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
Conduct background investigations on U.S. citizens for the purpose of determining their suitability to access sensitive or classified U.S. Government information.
Conduct in person interviews with the subject of the investigation, his/her neighbors, coworkers, friends, and associates.
Perform record searches at police agencies, courthouses, educational/financial institutions and medical/mental health facilities.
Report results of the investigation in a customer specified format.
TS Clearance/Completed SSBI Required
Three years investigative experience as a Federal, State, or Local Law Enforcement Investigator, both criminal and personnel; or Military Investigator to include Army CID, Air Force OSI, Counter Intelligence, and Marine CID.
Applicants should hold an active Top Secret clearance or have a favorably adjudicated SSBI. Those applying without a Top Secret clearance will be considered based on workload of the area they reside, and must be able to pass a single scope background investigation (credit, criminal, civil, employment, mental health/medical).
Due to the nature of this position, valid driver's license and transportation are required.
Must have excellent writing and communication skills, and have the ability to deal with various types of individuals. Intermediate typing and computer skills.
Occasional travel may be required.
Contract Investigator positions are available nationwide and affiliation will be determined by the volume of work in a specific geographic area.
- Background Investigators are self-employed and not employees of MSM. Contractors do not receive benefits. They are responsible for their own taxes (MSM provides a 1099) and are compensated on an engagement-completed basis. They perform work on an as needed basis and no hours are guaranteed.
