This position is responsible for all decision support related services provided for the assigned Hospitals (RHMs). RHM Services Coordinator oversees all work of staff analysts in the daily operation and maintenance of decision support system (HPM). This individual supervises and analyzes preparation of Service Line profit and loss reports bi-annually or quarterly, and as requested. This individual assists/supervises the identification and review of payer underpayments, is knowledgeable of costing/cost allocation processes and contract terms and third-party reimbursement regulations. RHM Services Coordinator is a liaison to the RHM Super User and participates in special projects as assigned.
Daily operation and maintenance of the Decision Support System
Manage the implementation/installation of the Decision Support System (DSS) - fulfilling all objectives set forth by management.
Manage the Daily operation and maintenance of DSS – develop/execute a weekly and monthly integration schedule to meet timetable established by management. Monitor and adjust the schedule as the system grows to meet increased demands of users.
Develop a level of expertise, through experience, education, etc., that will allow for effective and efficient training of Analysts and end-users throughout Trinity Health.
Assess and encourage additional uses of system (e.g., budget preparation support, continuum of care reporting). Develop a working relationship with RHM representatives to extend and maximize the System's use.
Oversee the cost accounting module and reimbursement profile developed within the DSS. Develop audit trail and review procedures to ensure the accuracy/integrity of all cost and reimbursement data within the system. Assure, where possible, the integrity of other integrated data.
Notify DSS users, monthly or quarterly, of reports/data availability and provide written overview/narrative of findings - as deemed appropriate by senior management.
Develop and execute an on-going schedule to review standards/relative value units for all departments.
Develop/cross-train Analysts on all aspects of DSS - direct the Analysts through rotating intervals where each is responsible for all issues associated with assigned hospitals, while reviewing the work related to others.
Coordination and preparation for various RHM meetings.
Manage the daily review of submitted on-line requests and disseminate to analyst as appropriate.
Manage and analyze preparation of profit and loss reports
Manage staff on completion of statistics and classifies worksheets.
Manage the analysis and review of cost audits. Direct Analysts to complete reconciliation back to feeder systems and reports, Siemens/Meditech, REV3, MOS, etc.
Work collaboratively with the PMOD group as it pertains to payment analysis.
Prepare specialized P/Ls, as management deems necessary.
Provide support for managed care contract analyses/updates to PMOD
Maintain knowledge of managed care contracts/terms. Work with the PMOD team as it pertains to managed payer underpayment reviews.
Participate in special projects as needed
Complete weekly one-on-one meeting with Analysts. Discuss current work as well as proposed new projects.
Complete weekly status report of completed and outstanding requests and submit to Director or Manager. Maintain two-week turn-around time for completion of report requests.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Education, Certifications or Licenses:
Bachelor’s of Science in business administration, finance/accounting or other healthcare related area
Five + years experience in health care cost accounting/decision support, managed care or reimbursement.
Excellent communication and management skills
Proficient knowledge in Microsoft applications; particularly Excel.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
