Opportunity to:
Report to the Director of R&D and work with the Research and Product Development teams to both support existing applications and assist in the development of new applications in diagnostic, therapeutic, and research markets.
Experience the rigors of medical product development in a nimble, fast-paced startup environment and gain comprehensive exposure to critical elements of the company’s core business.
Propose process and product design changes for improved performance, quality, usability, and cost
Support collaborations with Early Access Partners (EAPs) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
Assist in troubleshooting technical issues reported by customers
Communicate technical issues and risks to the team and propose solutions and mitigation strategies
Contribute to product Verification and Validation activities through the execution of test plans
Active participation in regular technical and project meetings

What we need from you:
Processing clinical samples, including blood and blood products, employing safe, accurate, and repeatable methods
Gathering data and information to identify best methods, materials, and technologies for cell and molecular assays
Isolation of PBMCs using density gradient centrifugation (Ficoll)
Aseptic primary cell culture
Development and execution of cell-based, biochemical, and flow cytometry assays
Writing and maintaining experimental protocols
Disciplined and trackable record keeping in compliance with applicable SOPs and best practices
Analysis and presentation of experimental results in a manner that demonstrates understanding of the underlying objectives of the research and progress towards their achievement
Support and provide content for IP and regulatory filings

Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in biology or a closely related scientific (non-engineering) discipline
1–3 years of research experience (inclusive of undergraduate research) in an academic or commercial setting
Familiarity with common cell biology techniques (fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, histology, cell culture)
