The General Manager will lead our retail stylists to drive our “irreverent and slightly jaded” brand by developing a highly influential group of stylists. The General Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining brand standards, guest experiences and employee development.

We’re looking for someone who is results driven with a strong track record of growing retail sales and loyal customers. Essential responsibilities of the job include:

  • Maintaining eyebobs brand standards while on the sales floor and off
  • Drive store results through add-on selling and conversion that meet the customer’s wants and needs
  • Address customers in a calm, attentive and productive manner, always leaving customers feeling that their concerns have been heard, addressed, and knowing we went the extra mile
  • Engage customers and enhance their experience through product awareness and understanding of their style needs, even when they don’t
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to help train store employees and develop employees customer service skills through effective communication, coaching, training and development.
  • Ensures compliance with all retail policies and procedures in all areas of the store and employee performance
  • Functions as the subject matter expert in the merchandising, store operations and product for new retail stores.
  • Supports recruiting & hiring efforts for all retail stores
  • Provides onboarding, training, and coaching for new store employees at all levels within all retail locations
  • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication with employees and developing them for future growth opportunities at eyebobs
  • Attract new customers by answering product and service questions, suggesting information about other products and services
  • Proactively manage merchandise stock level, signing and assortment of displays and ensure selling floor is adequately stocked
  • Utilize sales reports to track and ensure all key performance metrics are being met
  • Help every team member to continually improve through coaching and mentorship
  • Ensure that all store visual/merchandising standards are being met; maintain store cleanliness on the sales floor and back room
  • Lead retail inventory for store by reviewing store inventory, performing cycle counts and accurately receiving products
  • Develop and track dynamic in-store events to attract current customers and potential customers to the store

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Prior retail management experience required
  • Optical experience with an active Massachusetts Optician’s License preferred
  • Passion about fashion and style, and helping customers realize their need to be their true and authentic self
  • Optical sales in a retail environment strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated leader who has an ability to partner across various levels and departments within the store and organization.
  • Strong communication skills and team orientation
  • Ability to resolve complex problems, multitask and prioritize time and projects effectively
  • Proven people management skills

Other Details:

  • This is a full-time position and hours of work may be Monday-Sunday during standard mall hours, varying depending on staff schedule and holidays
  • The position is very active and required standing, walking, bending all day.

Salary: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year
