Dircks Moving & Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Helper who will be involved in interactions with our customers, operations, and customer support while ensuring we deliver the highest quality service to our customers.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Pull equipment from inventory for jobs.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Organize and maintain inventory.
- Perform general warehouse duties as needed.
- Prep outbound shipments.
- Assembles customer orders from racking and prepares orders for delivery out.
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Maintain warehouse free from trash and comply with safety and OSHA standards.
- Vaults goods into designated containers
- Pad wraps furniture items.
- Receives shipments into the warehouse
- Repairs vaults and lift vans as needed
- Help as needed on both the household and commercial end of warehouse shipments.
- Must wear uniforms acceptable to the Company.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess and maintain a current forklift certification, if operating forklift at any time. Training and certification can be provided by Dircks.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of warehouse management systems. Windfall experience is preferred but not required.
