Marketing Intern-BOK

SMG - Tulsa, OK3.7

Provide support to the Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager with the planning implementation of all media, retail, and promotional plans for grand opening, family shows and entertainment events at the BOK Center. This person will also provide support during various events.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: (including to but not limited to)

Support event advertising elements
Distribute BOK Center event materials and press releases
Update the BOK Center website
Maintain a record of BOK Center events and arena press clippings
Keep current records for media and public relations contacts
Support event elements including: media, meet-&-greets, sponsorship elements, photo opportunities and in arena components
Conduct demographic and psychographics research for various department projects
Actively participate in marketing meetings related to proposed projects
Other duties as assigned by BOK Center Management

Besides commitment, enthusiasm, personal drive, the ability to take direction and constructive criticism, and a willingness to learn, an intern must have completed their sophomore year in college and carry a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Experience with Microsoft Office and other software applications are helpful. Applicants must also demonstrate effective communicative abilities, both written and verbal. Internship must be related to major or current course of study.

Interns must work 20 hours per week, and some event nights.

In general, internships last 12 weeks or one week prior to the start of school semester, whichever comes first.
