Biotest Pharmaceuticals is opening a new Plasma Center in Russellville in April 2018 and we are looking for excellent talent! Established in 2007, Biotest Pharmaceuticals owns and manages plasma centers across the United States. Biotest Pharmaceuticals employs more than 800 employees in the US. Biotest Pharmaceuticals is a subsidiary of Biotest AG, a German-based global provider of plasma proteins and biological drugs, with more than 2,500 employees worldwide.
We are currently seeking a Center Manager for our new location. This individual will have an overall responsibility for Plasma Center operations, staffing, budget, meeting targeted goals, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) adherence to various regulatory agencies (including but not limited to, PPTA, GHA, and FDA regulations. Operational responsibility is day-to-day in terms of reviewing procedures, compliance issues, level of staffing, and employee issues and concerns. It is also longer term in that the Manager has annual business plan responsibility, and needs to develop and implement the proper controls, plans, and marketing approaches in order to meet or exceed the business plan. Must represent the Center in the business and neighborhood community, and attend to all public relations issues.
Bachelor’s degree in sciences, health administration, or business management preferred. Extensiveexperience in healthcare of plasma related field can offset degree requirement. Masters degree in sciences, health administration of business management is desirable.
A minimum of 5 years plasma center management experience. Without plasma center management experience, a minimum of 8 years of comparable management experience. Understanding of Biotest’ Plasma Center operatins and Specialty products preferred. Thorough knowledge of industry regulations (i.e. SOP, OSHA, cGMP, CLIA) essential.

Must be able to implement budget plans, evaluate financial data and prepare implementation plans based on this evaluation. Able to evaluate and interpret regulations and recognize the need for appropriate changes relative to training and procedures. Must have excellent writing and oral skills. Must be able to prepare, deliver presentations and facilitate for small and large groups. Must be able to read, understand, and implement programs based on technical regulations and manuals. Must have a strong customer service orientation and able to work well under pressure while interfacing with all levels of decision-makers including, customers, distributors, consultants, agencies and suppliers. Proven ability to motivate employees at all levels within an organization. Strong grasp of employee relation issues and human resource related laws and programs
