Overall Purpose:
Supervise the day to day technical duties and work of teams in support, tuning and maintenance of growing database environments and middleware environments, including review, design, evaluation, and implementation. Supervise database and SOA upgrades, system deployments, production support, performance analysis, and optimizations.

Job Responsibilities:
Familiar with both database and Service Oriented Architecture
Must be an expert with SOA integrations, composites and their interactions
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to architect complex SOA integrations
Able to communicate effectively in both technical terms and to business users
Able to lead a team through project planning and implementation by being the SME, allocating resources, and being hands-on when required
Responsible for performance reviews
Meets with direct reports on a regular basis
Remains organized and is able to shift priorities on a day-to-day basis
Provides root cause analysis on all severity tickets
Promotes an atmosphere of proactive alerting and corrective actions
Able to understand how each SOA change affects the Oracle Utility Suite
Leads process improvements with cross functional teams to develop optimal work processes.
Identifies process characteristics that are critical to quality, delivery, and cost.
Responsible for data integrity
Performs investigative data analytics to support the process/data owners and strives to obtain customer satisfaction
Aligns processes with industry standards
Understands the batch flow and understands how outages affect the business
Develops and maintains positive relationships across the organization
Follows change control processes
Supports routine audits on processes to ensure practices/ procedures are up to date and benefitting the business

Supervisory:
Typically the front line supervisor to union staff or support track staff. Education/Experience Requirements:

Primary focus is on day to day management of operational execution for areas managed. Trains and develops staff. Plans the work flow. Directs available resources to accomplish process improvement. Leads work flow changes and implementations for direct team.
