The Medical Receptionist greets patients and prepares all the administrative work to prepare patient for their clinic visit including, but not limited to scheduling, insurance verification, collection of fees at time of services, complete accurate documentation in the practice management system, answers patients’ questions, manages waiting room and finalizes documentation, scheduling, and records at the conclusion of the visit.
. Requirements:
Patient registration, scheduling, data entry and processing.
Educates patients regarding benefits and collects patient payments, at point of service.
Complete and accurate management of patient data in practice management system.
Verify health insurances and obtain referrals.
Organize and maintain medical records.
Miscellaneous administrative tasks including, but not limited to scheduling, transportation, filing, faxing, etc.
Must have a clear understanding of company policies including the company manual
The Medical Receptionist can often focus on verifying the patient's insurance; experience with medical insurance is a great attribute.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in the healthcare field preferred.
On the job training provided.

Ability to see, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks
Driving independently to other facilities
