Wolfe University Center (WUC) Services staff members operate with a high degree of autonomy in the area of facilities operations and event support. The role of the Wolfe University Center Services staff is to meet the needs of all WUC guests and customers through the facilitation of office/furniture moves, meeting room setups, and the maintenance of a clean facility as needed. Additionally, the Wolfe University Center Services staff is responsible for providing customer service for WUC customers and guests and assisting the Operations Manager and WUC leadership as needed.
Requires prior completion of FIU Service Excellence training or completion within first 30 days.
Ability to work in a team setting.
Intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of PC operations and specialized software.
Ability to take direction and work independently as needed.
Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Dependable and ability to follow-through with tasks
Possess and display attention to detail in his or her day-to-day work
Ability to multi-task and oversee multiple projects at once
Effective communication skills
Flexibility and problem solving ability
The event services must have the ability and willingness to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends
Must be able to lift upwards to 40 pounds and stand for long periods at a time
Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of 6 credits as an Undergraduate student or 3 credits as a Graduate student.
Scheduled based off facility needs in accordance to the hours of operation of Wolfe University Center
