Full Job Description
Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as a Project Manager to provide Cerner oversight to interface development efforts. Ensure coordination with necessary stakeholders, including Cerner, VA OIT, and OEHRM teams. Gather, collect, and populate data for the VistA and Non-VistA legacy application cutover and transition templates. Provide recurring reports and metrics on completion of the cutover and transition effort specific to VistA and Non-VistA legacy applications. Engage with existing legacy system owners, business owners, and Cerner. Coordinate and support various meetings, create meeting minutes, and track action items and follow up.
10+ years of experience in a professional work environment
Experience in managing IT projects, including IT deployment and post-deployment efforts
Experience with life cycle and project management methodologies
Experience with tracking costs, schedule, and performance progress
Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure the execution of the transition steps identified for each legacy application
Ability to identify and mitigate risks
Ability to identify the steps technical and functional to transition users from the legacy application to a new application
BA or BS degree in Engineering, CS, Systems, Business, or scientific or technical fields or an additional 8 years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree
Experience in the US Department of Veterans Affairs
Experience with implementing Electronic Health Records
Experience with knowledge of VistA and Non-VistA Legacy Applications
