Job Title: Associate Director of Nursing Education
Reports To: Campus Director/President
Position Summary:
The Associate Director of Nursing will provide strategic leadership and management in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the Nursing Program. This role involves collaborating with faculty, managing program operations, and ensuring the quality and compliance of the Nursing Program. The Associate Director will also assist with faculty recruitment, course scheduling, curriculum development, and program evaluation. This role may include teaching responsibilities and requires regular interaction with other college departments to address the Nursing Program's needs. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, the Associate Director will serve in their capacity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership:
- Communicate with the Campus Director and Director of Education regarding operational, regulatory, and accreditation issues.
- Assist with the recruitment, orientation, supervision, and evaluation of nursing faculty.
- Enforce college and program policies.
- Monitor and implement the systematic plan of evaluation.
- Prepare, submit, and manage the Nursing Program budget.
- Assist in resolving student and faculty issues.
- Represent the program to the local advisory committee and the state board of nursing.
- Assist faculty with lesson plan preparation, learning activities, and student evaluations.
- Prepare and submit program reports to the state board of nursing and other regulatory and accreditation bodies.
- Conduct faculty meetings, assign faculty to committees, and participate in program faculty committees.
- Assist in preparing accreditation materials.
- Participate in professional development, including continuing education, conference presentations, and scholarly publications.
- Engage in service activities at the school, community, and professional levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Instructional Duties:
- Prepare and plan for effective classroom, laboratory, or clinical instruction.
- Follow the standardized curriculum and communicate any changes to the administration and Registrar.
- Teach in English as required by the curriculum.
- Demonstrate effective presentation skills and utilize a variety of instructional strategies.
- Use reference materials, audiovisual aids, and diverse questioning strategies to enhance student learning.
- Maintain a clean and orderly learning environment, ensuring equipment is properly stored.
- Keep accurate and timely administrative records, including attendance and academic evaluations.
- Comply with school policies and enforce them impartially.
- Actively participate in school functions such as receptions, open houses, graduations, faculty meetings, and advisory committee meetings.
Workload Expectations:
- The Associate Director of Nursing is expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:
- Current, active, and unencumbered RN or ARPN license or multistate privilege to practice nursing.
- A minimum of an earned graduate degree with a major in nursing from a nurse-accredited education program.
- At least 4 years of clinical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in nursing education.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in administration or management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in teaching and managing students' clinical and skills lab activities.
- Competence in personal computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email.
- Strong ability to manage people and projects.
- Current license in states specific to the school’s goals and regulatory standards.
- A minimum of two years of experience teaching in pre or post-licensure nursing programs.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
