The ASC internship focuses on hands-on training skills necessary to run an actual farm share, CSA-style business. Interns will be fully immersed in the day-to-day physical activities of an entire season to learn what is needed to be a successful organic vegetable farmer from last frost to first frost. The experience incorporates a comprehensive curriculum over the course of the season that includes training in organic growing skills and small business management. Individuals who are serious about taking the next steps towards starting their own sustainable, organic grower’s business are encouraged to apply.
Applicants should have at least one season of farm experience, a positive attitude, be able to lift up to 50 lbs., and be able to work in seasonal environmental elements. Must have a valid US driver’s license.
