HTE Automation is an Automation Solution Provider (ASP) for manufacturers in Kansas, Missouri and southern Illinois. We are a privately owned company that specialized in Robotics (Universal Robots, Epson Robotics, MIR and Precise Automation) Machine Vision/Sensors (Cognex) and Servo Motion Control (Mitsubishi Electric). We are looking for a self- motivated, hardworking individual to be a part of our team covering Kansas, Missouri and southern Illinois.

The Role: Robot Sales Specialist

This position is responsible for developing new account sales of our entire line of Robots including Universal Robots (World Leader in Collaborative Robots) EPSON 6 Axis and SCARA robots, and MIR (Mobile Industrial Robots). This is a robot sales specialist role that stretches across the 3 states we serve providing Robot Demonstrations to end users, partners, and OEM’s.. In addition, this position will collaborate with other individuals from sales and product marketing, on strategic opportunities where collaboration is needed to win. Additional tasks will be assigned as needed by the manager. We prefer persons currently living in Kansas or Missouri.

Essential Functions:

  • Follows up on sales leads and schedules customer visits.
  • Finds and Penetrates new potential customers
  • Conduct product and solution demonstrations at customer sites using DEMO Van supplied by HTE Automation
  • Provide Classroom Robot Training
  • Work closely with the Inside Sales Engineer to generate funnel and prospect at accounts. Utilize Inside Sales for back office activities like quotes and sales collateral distribution to customers
  • Assists at trade shows and other marketing events
  • Coordinate evaluations utilizing the Applications Engineering team
  • Maintain and continuously update project information in CRM

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven track record of sales performance in the automation industry
  • Strong Technical background, PLC programming experience preferred
  • Proven track record of operating in a solutions sales environment
  • Uses defined sales process to deliver desired results on a consistent basis
  • Ability to work independently is required

Minimum education and work experience required:

  • Technical Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Automation Sales or Service
