Assist approximately 40 scientists with grant proposal submission and compliance including understand proposal requirements & compliance, prepare budget and interface with SwRI pricing and contract departments to generate cost proposal, obtain budgets and backup documentation from subcontractors, assemble and format backup documentation (C&P, budget justification, CVs, etc), intermittent reviews with lead scientist, assemble proposal against proposal requirements and verify compliance, submit via NASA NSPIRES website. Additionally, process incoming grant and contract awards and modifications, and advise scientists about funding levels and appropriate times to propose or hire. Process monthly financial reporting on certain grants/contracts as required.

Education/Experience:
Requires a BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management, Communications, Business Administration, or related degree programs with 0-5 years of experience. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Must be organized with a detail-oriented approach, able to work independently and in groups, in person and via email/phone, able to work on many tasks and coordinate/submit deliverables simultaneously, able to prioritize own workload for competing and inflexible deadlines with minimal supervision, flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various scientists, engineering, business support, managers, etc and with a wide range of colleges in a diverse community, professional and collegial attitude while under pressure. Must be able to handle sensitive information with discretion and be proficient in MS office suite and Adobe PDF. Must have ability and willingness to learn new systems, techniques and procedures.
