Job Summary:
The Evaluation Specialist is responsible for ensuring all children referred for evaluation through the EI, CPSE and CSE programs receive high quality, clinically appropriate evaluations in accordance with State and County regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Review of evaluation reports to ensure compliance with State and County regulations as well as clinical appropriateness.

Demonstrate a solid understanding of the evaluation process in all programs (EI, CPSE and CSE).

Assist with oversight of the Evaluation Coordinators
-
Assist with billing issues as they arise
-
Regularly monitor departmental activities to ensure established goals are met including weekly and monthly reporting on department growth

Conduct data entry activities as the evaluation process is conducted
-
Attend IEP and IFSP meetings as necessary
-
Conduct home and center based evaluations/observations when necessary
-
Conduct professional development workshops as needed
-
Complete quality assurance audits to ensure all evaluation reports meet state and county regulations

Communicate frequently with various school districts, other referrals sources and parents.

Ensures timely payment for completed evaluations.

Other duties as assigned by manager
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
-
Individual must hold a valid certification as a School Psychologist, Special Education or Masters in Social Work to ensure clinical competence.

Successful experience working in a high volume work environment where organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
Qualifications and Other Requirements:

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook a must.

Bilingual Spanish speaking individual preferred.
