Advertising Coordinator – Cary, NC

You will need to be able manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver them on time. The Advertising Coordinator’s tasks includes:
Collaborate with the Marketing Team and agency network to develop compelling, brand-building messages and content across all forms of media: broadcast, digital, social media, earned media, owned media and events
Assist the Marketing Communications Manager with the development and execution of the marketing communications plan including paid, owned and earned media to effectively engage consumers, trade partners and key industry stakeholders to drive business objectives.
Assist the Marketing Team with present at meetings
Write online and print content
Set up and execute online or sampling promotions
Manage the design process from concept to final, negotiating print expenses and working direct with the print vendor, and creating distribution and shipping with the sales organization
Track and optimize marketing activities to achieve key performance metrics
Prepare and submit press releases and monitor support using social listening tool
Assist Global Corporate Communications team (based in France) in creating and distributing corporate messages that speak directly to the needs and desires of North American retailers, stakeholders and consumers
Ensure adherence to brand, legal, regulatory and company policies and procedures by leading the collateral content review and approval process among R&D, Compliance, Marketing, Legal and Regulatory contributors
BA in Marketing, Communication or Journalism.
5 years of relevant experience in marketing. CPG experience preferred but not required.
Proficient Microsoft Office
Familiarity with project management software
Strong communication skills
Excellent Organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a deadline driven environment
Creativity and problem-solving aptitude
What will your focus be? Your focus will be assisting in the development and implementation of a fully integrated marketing communications plan to grow the SBM consumer lawn & garden business. The position supports the Marketing Team and will work directly with the creatives and copywriters to develop digital and traditional marketing content that drives specific business objectives while building overall brand equity, awareness and loyalty.
