WSP is currently initiating a search for a Sr. Traffic Engineer for our Philadelphia office. Duties and Responsibilities: -Work on design, management and delivery of Traffic Engineering projects -Work as part of a dynamic organization on the delivery of projects and expanding our practice throughout the Northeast region Talent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related engineering position
Strong background in traffic control devise design, in the areas of signing, pavement markings, signals, lighting and maintenance of traffic
Registration as a PE is required, or have the ability to obtain within 1 year
Strong communications skills
Ability to manage tasks and project independently
Proficiency with common industry standard traffic engineering tools and software such as HCS, Synchro, micro-simulation, etc. is required
Proficiency with computer aided design packages (AutoCAD, MicroStation) is required

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in traffic operations and capacity analysis
Experience with ITS planning, design and implementation is a plus.
Familiarity with Pennsylvania transportation agencies’ standards and guidelines is a plus.
