L3 Applied Defense Solutions currently has an immediate opening for a Program Manager (PM)/Account Manager at our Herndon, VA office.

The Program Manager (PM)/Account Manager will be responsible for execution and growth for Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD Special Access Programs (SAPs) in the National Security Space program area. The PM will be responsible for all facets of the program, to include executing current programs, capturing new programs and follow-on phases. Responsibilities include financial, schedule, technical performance, development, and execution of coordinated growth strategies. PM duties will include multidisciplinary team leadership, managing program cost/schedule/performance, internal and external program reviews, CDRL delivery, and program management status reporting. Account management duties will include new business strategy development, market shaping and program development through direct customer engagement, new business capture, and proposal preparation.

Minimum 15+ years of applicable experience including Program Management or Capture Management.
Minimum 5+ years’ experience working in Space Domain.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or similar.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven leadership in new business development from capture through proposal submission.
Build strong customer relationship to continue receive/compete for follow-on contracts.
Experience establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all levels of the organization, including Government customer, program teams, and support organizations.
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
Willing and able to travel as required.
TS/SCI security clearance with a CI poly .

Good understanding of Agile software development processes.
Experience preparing and presenting senior level briefings for external customers and internal management.
Program Management certification such as a PMP or DoD equivalent.
Master’s degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics.
Prior military service.
