The Director, EHR / Health System Marketing will play a key leadership role within the Marketing group, working closely with the Product Innovation & Customer Group organizations at Surescripts. Specifically, the Director, Hospital / Health System Marketing will lead strategy and execution for all marketing initiatives for the EHR market. This includes the clear, guidance, coordination and delivery of product materials, customer event communication tools and materials to support effective sales and customer engagement Initiatives.
This position will lead the marketing activities for EHR’s which are a critical gateway to providers as well as IDN’s. This individual must be able to lead teams, think strategically, multi-task and provide strong organization/ project management leadership. An ability to simplify and effectively communicate verbally and in written format is essential. Demonstrated ability to develop clear results-oriented action plans and effectively mobilize cross functional teams internally and externally are critical skills.
This person will need to bring a strong understanding of the EHR marketplace as well as an understanding of the inside sales function within EHRs. This person needs to be creative and relentless in driving growth and engagement with these customers via world-class marketing.
Lead EHR & Health System Marketing to drive development and delivery of external, customer facing marketing communication, product/ sales materials, corporate conference participation and targeted product utilization initiatives
Develop and maintain high impact and effective product / sales collateral for company product portfolio (new introductions and core products). Collateral includes typical Sales kit elements (product overview sheets, presentations, etc)
Analyze EHR marketplace in partnership with Customer and Product teams to identify high value targets and develop bespoke marketing programs with a specific emphasis on channel sales and user activation
Ensure customer communications, sales support materials and presentations are aligned with established corporate messaging and defined product positioning strategy
Develop and implement “sales training” tools and update protocols to assure clear and compelling sell in to prioritized customer targets
Act as a brand and corporate ambassador. Assure internal alignment with communication strategies across key stakeholders and channels. (i.e. ensure consistency of messaging in all products and corporate/ sales presentations)
Support strategic customer / account communications
Manage and assure ongoing feedback loop with customer team, to identify areas of success, optimization and best practices in communication delivery/ customer engagement across product portfolio
Develop and maintain product collateral library, conference calendar and corporate/ business overview presentations
Support development and execution of customer focused product awareness and utilization programs. Delivered in collaboration with customer and broader marketing team
2+ years of team leadership/ management experience
8+ years of marketing experience. Focused experience in customer & sales communication
6+ years of Marketing Communication campaign planning, development and execution experience
6+ years multi-channel marketing program development and implementation
Ability to travel approximately a couple times per month for conferences or customer meetings, etc.
4+ years of experience working with the EHR industry
Masters of Business Administration with a concentration Marketing/ Communications
Familiarity and experience with a customer relationship management (CRM)
Partnership marketing program management
Conference and event management experience
Experience managing internal and external partners to deliver full surround / integrated program solutions
Experience working in one of the following industries: Health care (B2B product or Consumer), health information technology, Network technology
Demonstrated ability to gather, synthesize, and share information on external market conditions that may impact Surescripts’ business interests and decisions.
Demonstrated ability to understand Surescripts’ role within the broader industry context and apply that understanding to shape marketing initiatives and messaging strategies.
