Requirements: This person must have a minimum of 2yrs experience in fleet management including but not limited to large trucks, construction equipment, licensing and permitting, insurance and fleet maintenance. Tracking of assets and logging equipment in and out. DOT laws and regulations

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Purchase and maintenance of vehicles
  • Decommissioning and sale of older assets
  • Advise regarding benefits of leasing vs. Owning of equipment based on research and data
  • Working with dispatch to develop efficient driver schedules
  • Work with Shop foreman to organize efficient maintenance of assets
  • Registering and licensing all vehicles
  • Securing overweight permits for specialty vehicles
  • Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspections
  • Ensure strict servicing and maintenance of equipment to minimize downtime and maximize lifespan of equipment
  • Develop strategies for greater fuel efficiency and reduced maintenance costs
  • Analyze data to increase operational efficiency
  • Utilize GPS systems to monitor drivers and track equipment
  • Log equipment in and out of the field
  • Ensure all equipment in service is safe and ready to perform as intended
  • Actively engaged in driver safety training and monitoring
  • Educate users of equipment on basic safety and maintenance of equipment when logging out.
  • Basic building and grounds maintenance/repair management
  • Maintain an inventory of equipment and monitor needs of the field personnel against use of that equipment.

Special consideration for candidates who possess 2-year degree in Logistics or Accounting or 5+ years of related successful experience
