Place Services, Inc. is a nationwide Commercial General Contractor (GC) and Subcontractor company specializing in remodeling and new construction of retail Big Box stores. PSI was founded in 2006 and has grown into a $90+ million-dollar company. We have worked for a wide range of retail giants including Walmart, Publix, JC Penny’s, Best Buy, CVS, Racetrack, QuikTrip, Kroger, and Macy’s.
The Millwork/Cabinet Shop General Manager (GM) will lead overall operations in the achievement of business objectives by developing and executing effective business strategies. The GM will ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance while leveraging data to drive continuous improvement. The GM will develop a world-class manufacturing and distribution team that is focused on results and culture.
Build organizational capability by aligning teams’ skills with customer demands with the business mission vision and values; focus on structure people and process improvement opportunities
Set up skills matrix and expand capabilities of Millwork shop through exceptional hiring and training – turn our team into the most significant asset and a competitive advantage
- Drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost initiatives down through the organization with clearly defined and actionable plans
Establish, improve, sustain, and report KPI performance; leverage data to prioritize actions and drive continuous improvement
Drive customer satisfaction through strict adherence to product specifications, open communication, and timely follow-up
Identify and implement new equipment systems and/or process improvements that enhance PSI’s millwork platform; drive maximized return on investment
Recruit, manage, and continuously develop a world-class manufacturing team
Develop and manage the operation’s operating budget; ensure achievement of financial objectives
Able to produce significant output with minimal resource input. Creative and use mind before wallet.

Bachelor’s Degree required. Engineering preferred.
10+ years of cabinet assembly experience
5+ years of Millwork/cabinetry operations leadership experience.
Strong track record for transforming organizations – building the team, managing change, streamlining processes, and driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements
Strong lean manufacturing experience
Engineering & CAD experience or management experience a plus
Participative management style (mentor, team builder, coach)
Strong communication skills.
Works well on cross functional teams
Quantitative & data focused
Ability to successfully manage finances and budgets
