Your Role
As a Gensler Senior Designer, you will create and develop overall design concepts, formulate design presentation strategies, and provide creative process leadership to multiple design teams through all phases of projects. You are a natural leader who enjoys guiding our clients, presenting complex design concepts, and working with senior leaders on business development. You will be successful because you have exceptional design skills, a proven track record of leading architectural projects, and enjoy mentoring and developing architectural design teams.
What You Will Do

Design and plan complex architectural projects of varying types

Manage multiple aspects of client, project coordination, and general contractors including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultants

Manage client relationships and team communication

Resolve complex technical and design issues

Lead design meetings and presentations with clients and stakeholders

Prepare presentations, renderings, and other materials to elegantly convey design ideas

Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews
-
Process submittals, RFIs, substitution requests, etc. during construction

Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
Your Qualifications
-
Advanced degree in Architecture required
-
Registered Architect
-
12+ years of relevant architecture and design experience, with a strong background designing multiple building typologies of varying scale
-
Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, and 3ds Max
-
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Outstanding graphic presentation skills

Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents

Proven ability to lead and direct design teams and projects
-
Conceptual designer and thinker
