Margaret W. Wong & Associates is recruiting a data entry assistant and mail clerk to join our growing team. The mail clerk is responsible for receiving, sorting, and distributing all incoming mail, as well as accurate data entry in to our systems. The clerk ensures all notices arriving at the office are opened, sorted, scanned (as necessary), and distributed to the proper department and/or individuals at the firm.
Sort incoming mail, email, and faxes daily and distribute to the appropriate person(s).
Input mail, email and faxes into the firm's web-based data management system.
Update the firm's calendar with deadlines as they pertain to specific cases and clients.
Mail out copies of notices to clients.
Run report to track incoming mail and distribute to the firm.
Respond to clients' inquiries and phone calls as needed.
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Interest in or prior experience in immigration law a plus
Skilled in data entry (60 WPM or greater)
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (including MS Word and MS Outlook)
Proficient in Adobe Acrobat
Proficient in time management and multi-tasking
Excellent work ethic and punctuality
Excellent team player
Demonstrated attention to detail
Coachable and willing to be trained
