Speech Language Technician

Resonance Speech therapy is looking for an enthusiastic part-time speech-language technician to join a growing team working with charter schools in Utah. Job responsibilities include assisting certified speech language pathologists to work with students, maintain documentation, schedule meetings and assist in making materials for home programs. Resonance’s mission is to create a positive collaborative environment for all of our therapists and technicians and provide exemplary speech/language therapy services for all of our students.

All technicians will be given thorough support and guidance from their supervising speech language pathologist(s). The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable team member who cares deeply about helping our students toward better communication. They will need great communication, strong work ethic, computer skills, and ability to do assigned tasks in a timely matter.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders.
  • Current or be able to obtain the state speech language technician training.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • A track record of being a team player and community minded.
  • Commitment to continuous learning.
  • Excellent time management skills, flexibility, ability to work independently and problem solve.

  • A high level of professional and ethical standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Assisting the supervising speech language pathologist in providing exemplary speech and language therapy services to their students by
  • copying, organizing, and compiling materials for supervising SLP
  • creating and data entry into spreadsheets as directed by speech language pathologist to assist in organization of services and progress monitoring.
  • assist in arranging meeting schedule for supervising SLP.
  • work with students according to SLP developed treatment plans under direct supervision of speech language pathologists.
  • appropriate data tracking and documentation of treatment provided using data sheets designed and provided by supervising SLP.
  • participation in speech team meetings
  • assist in maintaining appropriate, confidential records, and timely reports
  • other duties as assigned

Though we have a preference for technicians with experience, entry level SLTs are welcome to apply. We also welcome any current graduate students in speech language pathology programs to apply.
