Position Summary: The Mass Production Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for providing Quality Assurance support externally to Customers and internally to the plant manufacturing teams. This position has direct contact with multiple departments within the manufacturing site and also direct contact with the customer. Overall requirement of the Mass Production Quality Assurance Engineer is to confirm that the developed manufacturing policies, procedures, methods, and systems produce product per all regulatory, customer and design requirements at all times, manage change points, provide customer service, and lead Corrective Actions (and reporting) for customer complaints. Also this position offers opportunities to work with a wide variety of aspects of the manufacturing processes, a wide variety of departments and levels of management within the company, and customers both domestic and international.

Essential functions of this job include:
* Confirming manufacturing processes are/can produce product in accordance to specifications through creation of documents, reports, trials, experiments, audits, measurements, and presentations to the customer.
* Manage Change Points to products and processes to gain customer approval for initial production parts approval * Daily customer service activities
* Lead internal teams in the corrective action (root cause and countermeasure) activities, report generation and presentation for customer complaints.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Confirm process requirements are met (MPR, QAV)
  • Confirm Product to Requirements are Met (Trials, 1st time shipment, change points, design changes, Reliability Testing, Strain Testing, Cross Sections, PV test etc.)
  • Maintain Procedures, review Drawings and Documents to ensure Quality systems IATF Requirements are Met (Document audits: WI,PQCT,PFMEA etc, Customer Audits)
  • Customer Service (Manage change point control with customer for Initial Production Part Approval)
  • Customer Service (Identify root Cause, Institute Corrective Action, internal and external reporting for Customer complaints)
  • Review Quality Trends, PPH, Determine Problem Causes (Customer Claim Situational Analysis)
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
* 4 year College Degree in Related Field (ME, EE, IE, etc) with 2 years related work experience in manufacturing OR 2 year Degree with 4 years related work experience in manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications:
* Work experience automotive industry, with emphasis in electronics
* Experience dealing with customers or suppliers
* Knowledge of Quality Systems such as IATF/TS-16949, PPAP, CAPA, NPI (New Product Introduction), APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc
* Experience with development of SAP, Control Plans, FMEA's, Process Operations Standards, etc.
* Knowledge of IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies (acceptance criteria or workmanship for electronic assemblies)
* Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering to assist with decisions related to Electro-Mechanical Processes
* Well organized, attention to detail and able to handle multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication skills to prepare and present technical information to all levels of management and customers verbally and written.
* Ability to lead projects obtaining the support of multiple departments
* Analytical skills to understand product and process change points impact.
* Knowledge with problem solving tools, such as 5P, 5-why, Fishbone, FTA etc...with strong aptitude toward root cause analysis
