We are looking for a Product Development & Production Coordinator to join Goorin Bros. family of hatters. Now in its 4th generation of leadership, Goorin Bros. blends its timeliness approach to the art of hat making with a high touch experience both in its stores and online.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the sample room, making sure samples are organized, put away at the end of each day, properly labeled and shelved
  • Receive, unpack, photograph, label, track, manage and record all incoming samples for retail, wholesale and photography
  • Maintain line sheet process; own data entry for all products in the Product Lifecycle Management System
  • Display samples in appropriate seasonal shelving area
  • Ensure samples are organized and moved from product rooms to sample archives upon approval
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to drive efficiency and simplicity
  • Conduct bi-annual review of archival sample areas and direct obsolete samples to the company sample sale
  • Create process to document all samples lent out for catalog, web, marketing and photography and ensure their timely returns
  • Ship samples/fabric out to vendors
  • Create and set up styles/skus (data entry) into our order management system
  • Maintain accuracy of PLM system/and or SAP system
  • Prepare salesman sample(SMS) & Top of Production (TOP) requests
  • Manage and organize trim & label Inventory for each vendor
  • Eventually work to review samples for quality call outs in both development and production phase

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • 1-2 years of work experience or equivalent experience in product development or production; preferably in retail/fashion space
  • Knowledge of development/production cycle timeline
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook; bonus if you have experience in the Adobe Suite, PLM & SAP
  • Passion and excitement for the retail/fashion industry (super bonus: you love hats!)
  • Ability to be flexible and agile with constant changes and time restraints; able to learn on-the-fly
  • Strong written and oral communication, problem-solving and follow-up skills; must act as a proactive team player
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities
  • A sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing tasks
  • Able to work as a member of a team
