Our Boston office has an excellent opportunity for a Structural EIT/PE with at least 3 years of experience specializing in bridge and building design and inspection for the New England region. The candidate will be involved with and oversee development of contract plans, assembling technical and material specifications, writing design or field inspection reports. Duties may also entail:

Performing design calculations and checking of calculation completed by others

Develop specific CADD design details and check drawings done by others

Coordination and scheduling of project team related assignments

Conduct field investigations and inspections within New England

Construction cost estimates


Bachelor of Civil Engineering is required
Masters degree in civil/structural engineering is preferred
EIT and ability to obtain PE within 2 years is required
At least 3 years of bridge design experience required
Bridge design experience utilizing AREMA/AASHTO LRFD bridge specifications
Building design experience utilizing IBC and MA State Building Code
Familiarity with project development procedures in for transportation agencies in New England
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation desirable
Strong communication, organizational and writing skills
Strong time management and attention to detail
