Engineering Project Manager will coordinate and lead a project team through the design, development, and qualification of new product from inception to production launch. Project leader will conduct Risk Mitigation Events as well as Project Planning Events to provide accurate Time-to-Market dates. The candidate must have the ability to optimize the schedule.

Follow the New Product Development Process including documentation of all tasks and reporting progress to Management.
Create a project schedule based on the New Product Development Process.
Guide a cross functional team through to project completion, ensuring team members accomplish their task per project plan.
Work with team members to find ways to reduce Time-to-Market.
Communicate project status and progress in both written and oral form.
Identify of technical, cost, and schedule risks within the project and the development of risk abatement plans to minimize their impact
Track lessons learned and ensure that corrective actions are generated and applied on new projects.
Understand the New Product Development Process and continuously find ways to improve and streamline the process.

Education: BS in Engineering field. MS in Engineering or Management desirable. PMP Certification a plus
Experience: 5+ years proven experience in managing technical projects.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Strong analytical and technical skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Expertise in Project Management
Lean NPD

Specialized Knowledge:
Strong grasp of engineering materials and industrial manufacturing processes
Strong understanding of computerized engineering drafting/design and analysis systems
