Job Summary

To coordinate the activities of the outlets staff to deliver quality product and service to restaurant guests.

Responsibilities and Duties

Train, supervise, counsel and discipline food and beverage staff for the efficient operation of the outlets.
Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, such as house count and menu changes.
Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments.
Interact positively with guests promoting resort facilities and services.
As a working supervisor you will work and oversee all of the F & B outlets.
Resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties.
Answer telephones in a clear voice, coordinate and document reservations.
Assist with special events in the restaurant such as receptions. Maintain communication with all departments to ensure customer service needs are met.
Move throughout facility and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met. Verify temperatures, judge appearance and taste of products to determine quality. Give guidance toward improvement and make necessary adjustments for consistency.
Maintain profitability of outlet to support overall resort operation. Control payroll and equipment costs (minimizing loss and misuse). Ensure par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, ordering and retrieving supplies and stocking shelves by stooping, bending, lifting heavy articles and reaching overhead. Evaluate cost effectiveness of all aspects of operation.
Utilize prescribed cash handling procedures to accurately charge guests, create forecast and revenue reports and write correspondence.
Thorough knowledge of food & beverage outlet operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques and guest interaction.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, employee may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the hotel and report deadlines. This may include weekends and holidays.
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma, G.E.D or any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities

Two years F & B experience with supervisory experience preferred.

Cash handling experience required.

POS experience (Micros preferred).

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Possess a valid Food Handler and O.L.C.C. service permit.

Must be able to read, write, and converse the English language.

SERVSAFE and first aid/CPR certification preferred
