The Business Development Team is looking for a Business Development Director to help lead engagements with key strategic partners that will help enhance and highlight the value of the Samsung Ads platform and ensure Samsung Ad’s client solutions are best-in-class. This position will require driving business projects from beginning to end, including negotiation of complex, strategic partnerships, and developing a well-thought-out perspective on industry trends and market opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in OTT and mobile advertising, with a deep understanding of digital ad technology, data and measurement, and the programmatic ecosystem. The position will require maniacal attention-to-detail, a passion for solving problems, the ability to unravel complexity, and commitment to executing against plan. Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must, as well as the ability to drive close collaboration with all areas of the business. The Business Development Director will need be comfortable working under pressure and tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding and experience in contract language negotiation will be critical to success in this position.
Role and Responsibilities
Coordinate cross-functionally to prioritize key business initiatives and formulate partnership roadmap in conjunction with stakeholders
Own and execute on strategic relationships with ad tech, demand, supply, and other category partners to expand the addressable market opportunity – driving pipeline development, negotiations, contract drafting and partner management
Create, identify, and execute new growth opportunities through creative partnership deals to drive client solutions
Build and maintain senior relationships at leading and emerging ad tech companies across OTT and mobile
Partner and collaborate with product and engineering teams to scope, plan, and execute integrations
Drive market feedback to influence platform roadmap and business execution
Conduct strategic market reviews, including competitive landscape analysis to help inform team policies and initiatives
Contribute to team analytics and operations
Skills and Qualifications
BA/BS required, MBA a plus but not required
12+ years of experience, with heavy focus in partnerships and/or business development
Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and navigate large, global organizations
Passionate about technology and new media trends
Self-motivated, assertive, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are a must
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
