Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience directing or producing work in multidisciplinary team environment.
Experience across local European markets. Ability to speak in German and/or French fluently and idiomatically.

8 years of relevant industry experience.
Established network of artists, designers, and other creatives.
Ability to contribute a creative voice, an artistic hand, and work as part of a highly collaborative team. Ability to comfortably work with digital and traditional-art media.
Excellent typographic skills and design sensibilities.Experience in illustration, design, animation, and interaction design.
Experience working with freelance illustrators, animators, and designers at international levels while maintaining high artistic standards across cultures and regions.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Enduring sense of humor and relentless curiosity.

As an Art Director on the Doodle team, you will help produce the many illustrated, animated, and interactive Google logos which inform and delight Google users worldwide. While this position is based in the US, you will mainly develop Doodles for European markets, collaborating with international artists and colleagues to develop consistently excellent visual solutions across a broad range of subjects and styles. Produce animations, illustrations, and light interactive experiences in a wide variety of artistic styles and tones.
Navigate the intersection of art and technology applying basic principles of UX design.
Manage complex collaborative projects from idea, through creative pitch, production, and to final execution.
Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously across varying timelines.
Manage budgets and help define artist agreements.
