The Technical Sales Specialist position, based in Union City, California, focuses on HP’s 3D Jet Fusion Printer sales in Northern California.

The new HP Jet Fusion 3D Printing Solutions leverage HP’s decades of research and expertise in precision mechanics, microfluidics and materials sciences. These 3D Printers are revolutionizing design, prototyping and manufacturing, and for the first time, delivering superior quality physical parts faster and less expensive than current 3D print systems.

Position Overview

This position requires a high energy self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset. As a new product for Selway, the role of the Technical Sales Specialist will require establishing strategic thinking and implementation for creating Technical Discovery & Solution Fit, Customer Closure, Customer Relationship Management, Collaboration & Support, Internal Leadership, and Social Selling.

HP 3D Printers are new products for Selway, but our Northern California territory has an extremely strong established client base waiting to be won over. This position will be supported by Selway’s World Class Applications team and will work in a product specialist advisory role with the CNC sales team.

As a sales representative there are no limits to your success at Selway Machine Tool.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly, & annual unit & revenue goals.
  • Managing the sales activities of the assigned territory including incoming leads from Autodesk & HP, updating opportunities in Selway NetSuite software & HP Portal.
  • Coordinating the activities of Applications Engineers to ensure that clients are receiving the appropriate level of training & technical support.
  • Assist in facilitating benchmark parts & service bureau part orders with customers & internal resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in technology sales, preferably to product development & manufacturing organizations – Sales in capital equipment is a plus.
  • Experience with 3D Printing technologies.
  • Experience with developing sales strategies.
  • Account plans and long-term sales funnel development.
  • Selling of complex products and solutions selling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - Fluent in English language with excellent oral and written skill sets.
  • Negotiation skills and intellectually flexible.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Products. CRM software experience is a plus.
  • 60% Travel (mostly local) | 40% Office
