The Unit Clerk is responsible for the coordination of clerical duties and resident services on assigned units.
Coordinates the record keeping of all residents on assigned units to include the following: Prepares and ensures upkeep of charts.
Periodically reviews all charts for accuracy and thins charts when needed.
Checks and orders supplies i.e. food, office supplies, sterile stores, etc. Re-stocks supplies in designated area.
Answers telephone and relays messages. Prepares and maintains all other miscellaneous paper work; assists with admission transfer or discharge or residents.
Schedules in-house appointments as needed.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of three years clerical experience required.
Must have good organizational skills. Background in and knowledge of basic medical terminology required. Computer skills required.
