The Region Director, Human Resources Operations reports to the Senior Vice President and Chief HR Officer and serves as directorate member of the HR Leadership team and provides HR general management support to client offices across the Americas Region. This leadership position is critical in executing organization people initiatives, providing great internal client support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvements in the organization.
Translate business strategies and goals into human performance requirements.
Partner with Site leaders to identify all the solutions required to enhance performance of employees and to positively impact the business and site culture.
Partner with site leaders on organizational change initiatives. Provide insight on restructuring or organizational design.
Partner with HR Centers of Excellence in the development and execution of practical people management and development solutions that are responsive to the needs, responsibilities and objectives of business operations and consistent with the HR Strategy of the Company.
Manage execution of core human resources life cycle processes including on-boarding, performance management, employee relationship management, workforce planning, compensation administration, etc.
Provide coaching to management on addressing a variety of employee issues such as performance while effectively mitigating business and preserving a healthy work environment and culture.
Resolve complex employee relations issues (such as harassment and discrimination allegations) in a balanced, fair and objective manner, using appropriate advisory, counseling, investigative, and intervention and mediation techniques.
Lead HR Managers, Generalist, and Coordinators in the process of advising with investigations/grievance resolution, policy/procedures interpretation, Code of Conduct/Disruptive Behavior complaints, workplace violence complaints, harassment discrimination complaints, progressive discipline and terminations, work environment challenges, and performance management concerns.
Ensure HR Managers and Generalists provide detailed analysis of issues and guidance based on interpretation of established internal policies and applicable country, state, and local laws and regulations.
Ensure recommendations are provided by HR Managers and Generalists and a course of action necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship that is consistent with the Company’s practice, policies and procedures.
Lead HR Managers and Generalists to serve as a neutral party between manager and employee to assist with the resolution of issues.
Complete all other duties as assigned by management.
Experience and Skills
Ten to fifteen years’ experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience. In cases of internal promotion, an exception may be made to the minimum requirements based on company needs and the proven ability of the incumbent to perform the key roles and responsibilities of this position.
Ability to travel up to 35% of the time
Position leads a team of four HR Managers, HR Generalists and HR Coordinators and two indirect reports.
No direct budget responsibility.
