The Sense and Warn (S&W) Regional Manager is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) that coordinates all overseas operational aspects of the S&W Program. The Regional S&W Manager supports the U.S. Department of State S&W Program requirements for an overseas theater in a potentially high-threat environment. While serving primarily within the overseas environment, the Regional S&W Manager may be periodically required to travel to and support other Sense and Warn-related operations within the continental United States.
The Regional S&W Manager will demonstrate and apply a broad knowledge of specialization as an in-theater manager. To do so, the Regional S&W Manager must be proficient in providing technical expertise in the following areas: force and systems integration, fielding; training, testing, and logistics sustainability of the S&W Program. In addition, the Regional S&W Manager must have working knowledge of: Army Air Defense systems, Field Artillery Counter-fire Target Acquisition radar sensors, Local Area Network systems, and with Forward Area Air Defense Command and Control. Ancillary responsibilities may include assistance in the research, development, reviewing, staffing, and coordination of products and plans that ensure the functional, operational and system integration of the S & W Program.
Ten years of experience or equivalent work with or supporting a combination of counter-fire sensors, force protection and FA target acquisition and CRAM systems.
Must have experience with Department of Defense or U.S. Department of State processes and regulations, requirements documents, testing, fielding, force structure, and logistics sustainment.
Knowledge of a variety of military radar products/systems is required; Army or Marine Corps radar operations experience preferred.
Working knowledge of doctrine, organization, leadership, personnel, and facility analysis.
Working knowledge of training and maintenance processes, procedures, and regulations.
Experience working with Counter-Rocket/Artillery/Mortar system capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems and have excellent verbal and written communications management processes.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software suite.
Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision. Must demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner. Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a cohesive team. Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, and have strong attention to detail. Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).
This position is deployed up to 90% of the calendar year in high-threat areas, in multiple locations (not one specific area). Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination. May be required to spend several months in the Washington D.C. metro area for training and S&W support duties prior to departure to assigned overseas work location. Must also be willing to serve in positions worldwide, which may include domestic assignments. Overseas locations may be located in high-risk environments.
Security Requirements : Must have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance. Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals. A TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance may be required to meet changing requirements.
