The Assistant Event Services Manager will be responsible for managing banquet events at the hotel. This person supervises event room set-ups, service, and maintenance of all banquet functions and banquet equipment. This role is a highly detailed role within the hotel to complete event requirement and create an appealing experience for guests.

Essential Duties:
Schedule and assign duties to banquet captains and banquet staff.
Fully coordinate events consistently as represented on BEO’s - meet or exceed client expectations.
Conduct Pre-Event Walk-throughs, AV tests and confirm other meeting needs.
Use information from BEO’s to schedule and set-up event spaces:
Train and supervise banquet staff.
Monitor event and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and organization of event stations and service.
Plan, organize and execute any assigned projects
Help plan, coordinate and execute special events with the catering sales team
Gain knowledge of and lead employees through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee engagement results
Monitor food and beverage service, ordering, cost and quality consistency on a daily basis
Participate in all leadership activities such as meetings, training, etc

Job Qualification
Local 6 Union Experience
Luxury hotel experience preferred
Previous event experience preferred
Ideal applicant should have strong organizational skills and be a team player and a dynamic leader
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
Refined verbal communication skills
Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances
Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 50 pounds)
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Proficient in basic computer skills
