Google Express is Google's online marketplace that connects merchant, retailers, and users. The Product Operations team within Google Express partners with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to design and build next-generation eCommerce tools and systems. In this role, you will design product features and supporting operational processes to drive operational efficiency at global scale, leading complex programs within a highly cross-functional role.

As a Category Lead, you will guide the Everyday Essential Categories (i.e., Food, Beverages, Household Supplies, and Pet Supplies), developing a vision and strategy for growth. You will also work cross-functionally to expand assortment, improve offer competitiveness, and build category-specific shopping experiences that improve purchase conversion. As a leader, you’ll be responsible for the overall assortment and growth of the business.

We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners. Responsibilities

Define vision and strategy for the essentials (i.e., Food, Beverage, Household, and Pet Supplies) category experiences on Google. Lead strategies to grow in the essentials categories.

Work closely with Product, UX, and Engineering to design and drive a multi­-year roadmap, balancing short­ and long­-term goals and investments to scale products globally.

Determine critical metrics to monitor and gain insights on the category assortment, pricing, and inventory in order to drive strategy and execution. Define and exceed retention metrics in collaboration with Merchandising, Product, and Marketing teams.

Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Business Development teams to build category specific shopping experiences. Implement feature improvements in categories successfully.
