This position will be working at our new Residential Treatment Center that is opening in the City of Mentor.

Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Lake County Residential Center, the coordinator will manage the day-to-day functioning of the residential treatment center while managing the direct care staff. The coordinator will also manage the direct care and support services provided to Signature Health Inc. patients.

Responsibilities:
Manage daily functioning of the residential treatment facility
Supports residents, supervises direct care staff, and assists other administrative staff
Provides staff direction throughout scheduled shifts
Performs other activities which contribute to the achievement of work unit goals and objectives.
Manage and maintain various facility administrative tools, such as SOPS, checklists, inventory control, training documents and reporting tools for Residents, and Staff related to departmental operations.
Assists or owns the training of new direct care staff, as well as on-going staff training and development.
Ensures previous shift duties were completed; reviews staff daily documentation and writes shift summary documenting changes in resident needs and services.
Responsible for directing communication with residents and stakeholders to the appropriate manager
Maintain client charting in accordance with regulatory standards.
Complete Supervision logs regularly
Participate in all assigned staff meetings and staff development programs.
Maintain proper client rights and client confidentiality.
Participate in all audits and inspections.
Organize social/recreational activities for clients in residential care.
Maintain compliance with all licensing board standards.
Act as liaison for the clients to the clinical staff, relating needs and requests.
Provide support and assistance to clients, visitors and the clinical and administrative staff when needed.
Participate in miscellaneous duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Job Requirements:
High school diploma, Undergraduate degree in social services field preferred
Experience Working in a Community Care Licensed Facility preferred
Knowledge of residential care administrator functions including admissions, service planning, care management, medication supports, food services.
Basic computer skills using Office based applications.
Experience in the Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse field is preferred
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Communication skills are critical in this role both verbal and written

Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize and manage time appropriately
Ability to maintain relevant, timely documentation as required.

Requires extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting
Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds
On a regular basis must be able to reach with hands and arms
Demonstrated ability and skill at developing and maintaining cooperative and productive relationships with persons who have chemical dependency involvement
Ability to work independently, organize work efficiently, and prioritize responses to changing client needs
