Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpreting the results of eye examinations, using prescriptions written by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists
- Advising patients on frames, materials, styles and colors
- Recommending lenses, coatings and frames to suit customers’ needs
- Measuring customers to determine suitable types and styles of frames
- Conducting optical tests on patients under oversight of OD
- Preparing orders for glasses and contact lenses by checking prescriptions, lens thickness and other specifications
- Answers patient questions and responds or resolves patient concerns or frustrations.
- Maintains cleanliness and professional appearance of the office.
- Adheres to organizational policy with particular attention to standards of conduct and to confidentiality as it relates to HIPAA.
- Making sure that orders for glasses and contact lenses have been processed accurately
- Interface with online tools to support point of sale, insurance billing, invoicing, ordering, and tracking of materials and products
- Ability to interpret various vision and medical insurance
- Works collaboratively with management to ensure consistency of practices across offices
- Completes tasks as assigned by managers or officers
- Travel between locations required

- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers
- Familiarity with optical products
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
