This role is responsible for managing the Car Audio SBU’s digital and social presence for our car audio brands and our global customers. Your primary responsibility will be working with our Customer Marketing teams to build strategies, bring them to life and drive measureable results. This role will also interface with our Brand teams as well as our Lifestyle teams who own our digital and social properties.

Annual Digital Plan – Actively contribute to the development of our digital and social strategy for Car Audio globally including our sites and social properties in alignment with our OEM customer marketing plans. Controlling, tracking and management of digital and social budgets.
Content Development – Create and curate relevant content for our sites and social properties working with the Customer Marketing Teams
Editorial Calendar – Create in alignment with the Senior Manager, Digital, our PR team and our Customer Marketing team an editorial calendar across all customers and audio brands. Maintain calendar with regular updates and planning sessions.
Site Management – Manage site updates and develop alignment strategies and processes, working with our digital agency on execution. Continually optimize site. Stay up-to-date with our customers’ and competitors’ sites.
Social – Publish engaging posts and content that appeals to our target consumers and is optimized for each channel. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in social, activity by our customers and competitors and continue to test new approaches.
Measurement – Development in alignment with the Senior Manager, Digital, a key set of KPIs across all digital and social properties. Develop and manage digital dashboards for each car audio brand as well as a consolidated social dashboard for key car audio brands using reporting from our social agencies. Collaborate with our Lifestyle Digital analytics lead for any tagging, analytics, automation considerations. Ongoing monitoring of these dashboards to gauge effectiveness of key campaigns, performance of social and digital content and sites.
Relationships - Work to establish and foster direct relationships with our digital and social contacts within each of our OEM customers in alignment with the Senior Manager, Digital. Build and foster strong working relationships with each customer marketing team as well as our PR and field marketing teams
Digital First - Collaborate with PR, customer marketing and field marketing teams to deliver a seamless user experience which facilitates the consumer’s path to purchase. Monitor and make recommendations for car audio content on our OEM customers’ sites as part of this path to purchase.
Digital Assets – Ensure that digital assets are stored safely and are accessible on the Media Library and the Harman Hub. Promote the use of sharing tools within the organization
B.S. or B.A. in Marketing or Communications
At least 4 years of experience with digital and social marketing, agency management, project management, and content development
Demonstrated project management experience; strong organizational skills and ability to plan and prioritize
Strategic thinking, problem-solving capabilities and analytically driven mindset
Proficiency in Google Analytics and other tools for digital and social reporting
Experience in successfully managing internal / external stakeholders and agencies towards common goals and deadlines
Consistently demonstrating a positive and collaborative approach – comfortable working with various functional groups across the organization
Ability and excitement to tackle big goals with limited resources; thrives in an entrepreneurial environment
Self starter, excited about the potential for growth and to learn as well as willingness to roll up your sleeves with a “can-do” attitude
Hands-on experience in developing, managing and overseeing the execution of web and social content for multiple sites and brands simultaneously
Agency experience preferred
Experience using paid social, search and digital media
Experience using Photoshop or other design tools
Basic coding fundamentals and the ability to install tracking on websites
Experience working with global teams across different time zones and in a matrixed structure
Experience with the automotive vehicle launch process for OEMs such as BMW, Ford, Toyota, etc.
Willingness to travel 15% of the time.
Willingness to work in an office in Novi, Michigan or Garching, Germany.
Native or fluent in English; German, Dutch, French or Swedish are a plus.
