POSITION TITLE: HVAC Journeyman Installer



About Us:
Blue Mountain is centrally located in Vacaville specializing in heating and cooling, plumbing and electrical contractor. Since 1981, homeowners, builders, general contractors and property managers in California and Nevada have relied on Blue Mountain to design, install and repair most major systems in homes, multi-family communities and assisted living complexes.

About The Position:
The HVAC Journeyman Installer will be responsible for performing the removal, installation and start-up of HVAC equipment in single-family, multi-family, and commercial properties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the trade
Install furnaces, duct work, high/low voltage circuits, finish grills, minor dry wall repair etc. on properties.
Installation of sheet metal includes installation of gutter, downspouts, wall to roof, rake metal flashings along with chaise caps and roof crickets
Must understand the complete installation of HVAC and Sheetmetal on a residential tract home.
Install flues, kitchen hood and refrigerant lines.
Must know how to install an air conditioner, braze refrigerant lines and check for leaks
Maintain company-issued car; secure and organize tools, maintain equipment inventory, change oil and wash car as necessary.
Clean workspace in homes after removal or installation is complete.
Perform all other related duties as directed by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
4-year minimum experience with HVAC retrofit install/ startup required.
Must possess a valid California driver’s license; clear DMV report required.
High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English in both verbal and written formats, bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
Must possess basic math skills, capable of handling money payments.
Must be capable of managing e-mail, phone calls, etc. from cell phone.
Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
Must be reliable and trustworthy.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to interface with other Blue Mountain Inc. employees and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Must possess mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Work is done predominantly at property sites with freeway and road travel in between job-sites and office. Lighting is both artificial and natural. Equipment used includes cell phone as well as a motor vehicle, safety equipment such as, gloves, eyeglasses, dust masks, fire extinguisher, and battery powered and electrical tools such as saws, drills, vacuum pumps, recovery machines, etc. Individual will have some exposure to rain, dust, noise, heat, cold, and fumes. Work will occasionally require individual to crawl and operate efficiently in small, tight, or confined spaces and/or rooftops. Physical demands include walking, standing, repetitive use of both hands, driving motor vehicles, as well as sitting, balancing, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 75 lbs. Hours and days are primarily Monday through Friday with some overtime and weekends required. Position requires contact with Blue Mountain Inc. employees, customers, and outside vendors.
