Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a full-time benefits coordinator to administer college benefits; educate employees about the benefits; use technology to develop and manage complex databases; manage all FMLA, worker’s compensation, short-term disability and long-term disability absences; and accurately enter and manage data in numerous data systems. Duties include serving as the first point of contact for employees inquiring about all benefits; preparing for and leading mini benefit enrollment meetings at least once per month for new employees; administering all worker’s compensation and FMLA absences to ensure compliance with the FMLA, including preparing notices, informing employees about policies, determining disability eligibility and processing same when applicable; and serving as retirement coordinator for the state of Maryland. This position offers excellent fringe benefits and a competitive salary based on experience.

Minimum Qualifications
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business, office technology or relevant field; five years of related work experience; and advanced MS Excel, MS Word, database management and desktop publishing skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants with experience working in higher education, experience working with partially self-funded plans, Maryland State Retirement Coordinator certification, and SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or benefits specific certification.
