The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler will manage the preventive/predictive maintenance program, maximizing throughput efficiencies, minimizing downtime.

Function Specific Activities:
Plan plant maintenance activities on a daily, weekly and monthly basis utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (Somax) and other tools.
Work directly with maintenance mechanics, production associates and management to problem-solve and correct maintenance related downtime ensuring maximum production efficiencies.
Check parts in/out of parts inventory matching to scheduled maintenance work order.
Develop PM / Calibration checklist and implement preventive and predictive maintenance systems for all production equipment.
Track the PM / Calibration completion and report to management on weekly, monthly basis, and make recommendations for improvements.
Identify PM / Calibration, procedures from Somax and issue to mechanics. Coordinate predictive and preventive maintenance practices for all production equipment.
Perform systematic preventive maintenance / Calibration, including electrical or mechanical adjustments, inspections and minor repairs as needed.
Maintain accurate electronic and hard copy records as required.
Complete all required shift/departmental maintenance records, to include checklists development.
Coordinate production equipment PM services with outside contractors/providers
Monitor routine services provided by contractors and oversee small projects and identify potential equipment problems.
Use of SAP B1 for invoicing and budget to order parts and invoicing from vendors
Manage parts use and inventory, utilizing inventory system, just-in-time, & budget guidelines
Comply with all safety, security and Company policies and procedures. Read, understand, and comply with MSDS sheets.
Comply with Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), Safety Management System (SMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS) requirements.
Work in compliance with all OSHA standards and guidelines.

Education Requirements: Associates Degree Preferred

Related Work Experience: 2+ years of work experience in Maintenance Coordinator / Planner / Scheduler

or relevant related field. Experience with SAP system as well as extensive Maintenance Technician experience required.

Functional Skills:
Previous experience in maintenance planning preferred. Proficiency in Excel and maintenance management software (SOMAX);
Industrial maintenance background which may inclde hydraulics, controls, steam/boilers, welding, electrical, pneumatics and basic troubleshooting skills; working knowledge of hand and power tools; ability to read diagrams, blueprints and schematics and recognize defect parts.
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely to others, both verbally and in writing and to understand and follow instructions concisely. Must have strong problem solving skill; the ability to work efficiently under stressful situations; and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to move up to 65lbs. a distance of 5 feet; work on multiple levels, such as catwalks, ladders, etc.; confined and tight spaces; and in extreme temperatures. Must have ability to hear machine operations sounds to detect defective parts, machine failures, and changes in speed and other routine equipment operating conditions and have manual and finger dexterity.
