The Manager/Beauty Advisor will ensure that they deliver the beauty best luxury experience through specific demonstrations and guidance across all products and services to new and existing clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Greets and engages customers effectively to create a welcoming environment
Demonstrates an ability to read and discover what products are best for a customer by asking open ending.
Sells with appropriate demonstration of hygiene. Utilizes vendor supplied support collateral. Samples effectively
Sells with integrity and trust while ensuring minimized customer returns.
Links selling; offering recommendations of other synergistic products.
Demonstrates willingness and aptitude to team sell.
Consistently and accurately enters customer information into POS system
Communicates present and future events.
Sends thank you cards and follows up with customers through effective clienteling techniques as outlined by Merle Norman.
Demonstrates an ability to develop a personal Beauty specialist relationship with customers.
Communicates the presence of the Merle Norman social media outlets.
Books appointments for events, and confirms them.
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of brand.
Understands brand's philosophy and differentiation.
Knows enough to make the best product recommendations to a customer based on their needs.
Continuous self-learning by utilizing in-store training videos and manuals and collateral to learn more about brand.
As a In training Beauty Advisor much of the learning is done through self-study and mentorship from other more seasoned Beauty advisors on the team..
Is expected to actively participate in ongoing vendor trainings
Abides by the Dress Code as defined in the Employee Handbooks and may references manager if there is any questions or clarifications.
Beauty Advisors are expected to arrive at work on time and sales “Floor Ready”
Must be a self-starter and be able to follow through on assigned tasks with little or no follow up
Must be flexible in scheduling, and helps out in store coverage based on business needs.Works well with others while contributing to creating a positive work environment for everyone.
Demonstrates eagerness to learn proficiency in processes necessary for daily business but not limited to (packing/unpacking merchandise; receiving and sending transfers; opening/closing)
Ensures thorough knowledge and effective, efficient use of POS to complete customer transactions, email, locate and investigate inventory.
Inspires others to do better and perform at a higher level through leading by example and fostering positive team learning environment and celebrating other people’s success.
Contributes ideas to better the business and operations of the store.
Responds and is receptive to feedback.
Drawers and shelves must be organized and merchandised to Merle Norman standards.
Communicates stock levels and store specific trends to the buyers.
Understand and becomes proficient on how to handle damages, returns, lesson material and testers.
This job operates in a retail environment with merchandise displays and items available for purchase in inventory. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a retail store position, and hours of work and days may vary depending upon business needs. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work including holidays.
This position may require some travel based on business needs.
